Roxana is a 2001 Palomino Quarter Horse Mare. She had some earnings in reining as well and has a pretty impressive pedigree that even I, not a reining aficionado, recognize as well known names such as Peppy San Badger and Doc Bar.
I'm told that between his two parents, Stormy has 5 Hall of Fame Reining horses in his pedigree. Stormy himself competed as a reiner until age 6 when he suffer a flexer tendon tear. After recovery he switched to Ranch Versatility and was winning often.
Best way: Highlight link below with cursor and right click on it. a window will open with options; at the top of the list should be "Open with new tab" and you'll get there without leaving this website on this tab.
Or: Highlight link and left click on it and it might leave this web site and open on this tab; not so good.

Letha after nearly drowning on her Rocky Mountain horse Rhapsody in a river incident after a heavy rain had her confidence severely shaken and was struggling to regain it, and her lack of confidence was negatively affecting Rhapsody as well. Letha, a very experienced rider, decided with that going on and her age she needed to find a very calm well trained horse to help her regain her confidence before she could work with her young Morgan gelding Cimarron coming up. She searched long and hard and tried one quarter horse that didn't work out having too many issues of its own to work out. The kind of horse she was looking for was very much in demand and very hard to find. One evening she was looking through sites on her computer and came across Stormy who had just been posted that day on a site. She pointed the ad out to me and asked if I thought she should check him out. I told her if he was everything they said he was, she'd better call them immediately! She did and while she was talking to them they got four more calls about him. She said she'd come see him the next morning and they said she was first in line. By the time she was there the next morning there were 12 people in line behind her and some had made offers over the asking price already. She rode him and bought him on the spot and came home to get the trailer and go back and get him. Stormy is a supper calm horse, doesn't get excited about much of anything, but has been pretty much an arena horse his whole life. We are trail riders for the most part and have dabbled in shows and working equitation. Stormy experiencing the outside world has been a learning process for him seeing all the world has to offer other than groomed ground, be he is so calm that coping with it all has been a pretty easy process, just taking time. Conditioning him to do it has been a longer process both in endurance and correct form and movement; lengthening his stride, building strength in his hind end to support and drive himself in hilly country and such. He has a lot of buttons Letha is learning too. But, her confidence on the boy has steadily grown as he is so steady and good minded. He is such a sweetheart too!
