LeDan Morgans/Southwest Scoot Boots
Cimarron was foaled here at LeDan Morgans by Lil Sister March 25th, 2014 on a windy night, like she likes to do, at 9:52pm. He's a chestnut gelding and showed gait on day one. Cimarron was a very curious and friendly little man and liked to come up and meet you. He also liked to go out and explore and was already banging the fence and trying to attract the attention of Ayla two doors over on Day 3. His conformation is excellent with good bone and long straight legs, and his temperament is very calm as well. At seven months old he was weaned and already had some size on him and was larger than his full brother Pistol was at that age and had already begun to diversify his gaiting. He looks to be an outstanding horse with a promising future as one of Letha's rides. He is currently in the final stages of training for Letha.
The picture above is Cimarron and his mom Lil Sister shortly after his birth around 10pm at night.
Picture at right is both of them outside the foaling stall in their turnout pen the next morning.
Below are two videos of Cimarron; the first minutes old and the second at 3 weeks old. Enjoy!

Cimarron at around six and a half years old has grown into a beautiful horse and is catching people's eyes during his training sessions at the J6 Equestrian Center near us.

Cimarron being the youngest of our colts didn't have the advantage of his older siblings a year older than him that were still home and getting the full attention of Letha's and I's time doing ground work and training. So, when his turn came to start training he was older and greener than they were. He started his main training nearing 5 years old. A month or two into his training at the trainers he had an incident with a hitching post where he got his neck under his lead rope tied to the hitching post, spoked himself, pulled back hard and pulled it loose from the side posts and panicked going backwards as it followed him bouncing around on the lead rope against his body puncturing, cutting, and beating against him. He was down for 6 months recovering from that and had other chiropractor and massage treatments for months as well. He finally got back to training and basically had to start all over again. He recently came back home and he and Letha are now working together in the round pen, arena, and have been to a Harry Whitney clinic on their way to being a team on the trail as a goal.

The thumb nail picture below at the beginning of the video is them at the Harry Whitney Clinic a couple months before this video was taken. Cimarron is a big strapping boy now at 7 years old, good mind, well built, and very gaited.
